Saturday’s competitions
12:00 - Spinning the longest yarn in 1 minute
Bring your wheel to the stage. You will have 1 minute to spin it into the longest continuous thread you can. Roving will be provided.
1:00 - Speed Knitting
Fastest Knitting Speed = Garter Stitch (knit every row) across a row of 60 stitches, using (No 8) 4mm. needles and DK yarn. Highest score so far is 180 stitches (3 rows).
Sunday’s competitions
12:00 - Longest Yarn
Each contestant will receive .25 oz of wool roving to spin. The person with the longest continuous piece of yarn will be the winner. There is no time limit.
1:00 - Speed Crocheting
Fastest Crochet Speed = 20 stitches in treble crochet and 3 chain turn, using 5mm or H hook and double knit yarn.
