General Workshop Information

We have a wonderful line-up of classes this year, and we hope that you will find something you will enjoy.  Workshops will be held at the Taos Convention Center, the Sagebrush Inn, La Lana store and dye studio, and other locations as specified.

Class times are generally 9-4:30 for full day classes, 9-12:30 for morning half day classes, and 1:30—4:30 for afternoon classes.  There are some exceptions, and these are noted by the class descriptions.  Lunch is not included for workshops, and in some cases (which are noted), it’s important that you bring a lunch.   Materials fees are not included – these are paid to the instructors at the workshops.

Friday, October 2 Evening Show & Tell Gathering at the Taos Convention Center - we hope that you’ll be able to join us for this Wool Festival tradition— tea & desserts are included; please bring your work from your classes!

Confirmations, containing maps, last minute supply changes, etc., will be sent out in early September.  If your workshop choice is not available, you’ll hear from us immediately; otherwise, please know that if your payment has been accepted, you are in the class!

Refunds and Cancellation:  If MAVWA must cancel a workshop, all student monies will be refunded.  Workshops not reaching minimum enrollment by Sept. 1 MAY be cancelled.   If the Student cancels before Sept. 1, a $20 processing fee will be retained, and the rest of the monies will be refunded.  Students canceling after Sept. 1 will forfeit all monies submitted unless a replacement student is found.

Lodging: The Sagebrush Inn will host Earth’s Palette, as well as the MAVWA banquet this year, and will offer discounted rates - please refer to Earth’s Palette or the Wool Association when making your reservations.  1-800-428-3626, 575-758-2254.  Other hotels may offer discounted rates as well; see the web page for more information.
